Day 3 Lake Garda (included) |
Our included excursion
around Lake Garda will visit some of the most picturesque
villages which nestle on the shores of the spectacular lake
including the gem of the peninsula, Sirmione, from where we
take a private boat to Gardone. This evening enjoy a serene
optional lake cruise as we sail across to Limone with its
pleasant promenade, shops and ice-cream parlours. |
Day 4 Venice (optional) |
No visit to the north of
Italy is complete without a visit to Venice. Enjoy the famous
sights including St. Mark’s Square, the Bridge of Sighs and
the Doge’s Palace. Take a ride in one of the famous Gondolas
and for a different view enjoy a relaxing cruise along the
Venice lagoon with its spectacular views across the city.

Day 5 - Bolzano and
the Renon Pyramids (optional) |
Accompanied by our guide,
we drive through the Adige Valley to the charming town of
Bolzano, the ‘little pearl’ of Italy’s Süd Tirol with its
Gothic cathedral and narrow cobbled streets. We take the panoramic
cable car to Soprabolzano, then switch to a quaint old train
to travel through forests and fields, admiring the views of
the surrounding peaks. We continue by coach to Longomasso
from where we walk to the famous earth pyramids on the Renon
plateau (note-not suitable for people with walking difficulties),
before returning by coach to our hotel. Note – if you do not
wish to take the cable car you can travel by coach. |
Day 6 Verona (included) |
The fine, historic town
of Verona is famed as the setting for Shakespeare's romantic
tragedy ‘Romeo and Juliet’. On our optional guided walking
tour the many charms of the city will be brought to life;
admire the 1st century Arena, home to the prestigious Verona
Opera Festival, which dominates the main square and the fine
palaces, churches and monuments, adorning its alleyways and
squares. |

You will stay for five
nights at the 3-star Hotel Bristol in Riva del Garda. The
hotel has a restaurant, bar, lift and outdoor swimming pool.
