DAY 3: Costa Brava Coastal
Tour (included)
One of Spain’s great holiday coasts, stretching from Blanes
to the French border, this tour introduces Tossa de Mar,
a typical coastal town, Lloret de Mar, the busiest and liveliest
resort on the coast, and Blanes, renowned for its lace.

DAY 4:
Barcelona (included) The Catalan capital offers a modern
cosmopolitan city with a wealth of
modernist architecture to explore. There’s
also local cuisine to sample in the
traditional tapas bars. Our optional guided
sightseeing tour covers the modernist
architecture in the L’Eixample district,
Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia church, and the
Olympic Stadium, ending at the bustling
Las Ramblas. B,D
DAY 5:
Montserrat (included) This famous
monastery dates back to 1025 and sits amidst spectacular
scenery. Thousands visit the 12th-century ‘La Moreneta’
statue of the black virgin every year. The Pyrenees, Barcelona’s
Tibidabo, and Mallorca are all visible on a clear day. B,D
DAY 6:
Girona and Besalu (included) The medieval
‘city of a thousand sieges’ is home to many Catalan Romanesque
structures and an imposing Gothic cathedral. The most impressive
Roman ruins are at the Passeig Arqueologic (Archeological
Walk), following the original Roman rampart. Later, we visit
medieval Besalu, with its historic churches and intriguing
little shops. B,D
DAY 7: Catalan Country
Tour (optional) We take to the Catalonian
countryside with our local guide. and
explore the quaint spa town of Sant Hilari
Sacalm and its fascinating nature museum
(entrance extra). Enjoy a delicious Catalan
lunch before returning to the coast. B,D
DAY 8:
To the Paris area for an overnight
stay. B
DAY 9: We
journey to Calais then return home via our door-to-door
service. B

Your Hotels
For the duration of your
holiday, you will have sole use of your own room. You’ll stay
for six nights at the 3-star Hotel Florida Park located in
Santa Susanna, close to the beach on the Costa del Maresme.Popular
with Leger guests for many years, the hotel is ideally located
for our excursion programme or personal exploration, with
a regular train service along the coast to many resorts. There
are lifts, a large bar area, lounge, restaurant, sun terrace
and indoor leisure complex, including swimming pool (daily
charge). All bedrooms have T.V., telephone, air-conditioning
and a safe.
Overnight stays in the outskirts of Paris are in city-style
hotels.
