Day 3 Rovinj (included); Guided
Walking Tour (optional) See the lovely harbour area and explore the narrow streets of the Old Town on our optional guided walking tour. |
Day 4 Istrian Mosaic (included) We travel through vineyards and olive groves, red plains and green valleys. The pearl of the mosaic is Pula, with its Roman Amphitheatre, the sixth largest in the world. We also visit Pazin, an old town with a well-preserved medieval fortress. |
Day 6 Lim Fjord (optional) We take the boat from Rovinj to explore the Nature Reserve of the Lim Fjord, an area of spectacular natural beauty. We pause at a fish restaurant where you can enjoy the local delicacy. |
Day 7 Porec (optional) Enjoy a visit to the popular resort of Porec, which lays claim to being the jewel of the Istrian Peninsula. This old town with its historical influences, dating to Roman times, has blossomed into a beautiful resort, with bars, cafés and restaurants lining the waterfront. |
| Your Hotel |
You’ll have sole use of your own room for the duration of your stay. The 4-star Hotel Istra, located on the beautiful St. Andrew’s Island, is a 15-minute boat ride from Rovinj. The boat operates at regular intervals during the day and evening, so you can come and go as you please. The hotel is situated alongside a crystal-clear lagoon and 50 metres from a blue flag pebble beach, one of the best in the area. The hotel features an indoor swimming pool as well as an outdoor pool overlooking the sea and small harbour. There are three restaurants, a pizzeria and several bars, including the Blue Bar and the Dvorac Captain’s Club, as well as two pool bars. Local beer, wine, water and juices are included during dinner. Use of the fitness centre is also included, and you can visit the Wellness Island Centre with saunas, Turkish bath, indoor and outdoor whirlpool (extra charge). Your bedroom will have a sea-view balcony or terrace, T.V., payable minibar, air-conditioning, safe and telephone. |
