DAY 1: ARRIVE CAPE TOWN (4) Upon arrival in Cape Town you are transferred to your hotel with the remainder of the day at leisure for you to explore this fascinating city. Hotel: Protea Hotel President (4 nights) DAY 2: CAPE TOWN (CAPE PENINSULA) A full day touring the ruggedly beautiful Cape Peninsula, the spectacular southern tip of Africa. We drive past Camps Bay, Clifton and Llandudno to Hout Bay where we will stop at the scenic harbour. An optional cruise to Seal Island is available to watch the antics of these natural performers. We continue along Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. This afternoon we travel to the naval port of Simon’s Town and visit the wonderful penguin colony at Boulders Beach, before returning to Cape Town in the early evening. (BB) DAY 3: CAPE TOWN (WINELANDS) This morning we depart on our full day tour of the Winelands to indulge in the splendours of Africa’s premier wine region. Experience fabulous vistas from the Taal Monument near Paarl, enjoy a cellar tour and see the Huguenot Monument in Franschhoek, (a gourmet’s paradise). In the afternoon we drive through the Helshoogte mountain pass to Stellenbosch for a stroll through this stunning town and wine tasting at two estates, before returning to Cape Town in the early evening. (BB) DAY 4: CAPE TOWN AT LEISURE A day at leisure to enjoy this diverse and vibrant city. Perhaps ascend Table Mountain by cable car for spectacular views of the city. (BB) DAY 5: CAPE TOWN – KRUGER NATIONAL PARK (3) This morning we transfer to Cape Town International Airport for our flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. On arrival you will be transferred to Kruger National Park where game sightings virtually begin as we enter the reserve. Enjoy spotting the ‘Big Five’ and the other 147 species of mammals, reptiles and birds during an afternoon open safari vehicle drive, before returning to the rest camp for dinner and your first nights sleep in this famous patch of bushveld. (BB D) Hotel: Rest Camp Kruger National Park (3 nights) DAY 6 & 7: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK Your day begins with an early morning wake up call, and depart in an open safari vehicles into the African bush in search of wildlife. Game viewing in this area is truly spectacular and home to many creatures both great and small - Africa's 'Big Five' - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, as well as a diverse variety of antelope, birds, reptiles and insects. Return for lunch and afternoon siesta, before heading out on your afternoon safari (BB D) DAY 8: KRUGER – LIVINGSTONE – VICTORIA FALLS (3) After breakfast you will be transferred to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your onward flight to Livingstone. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a ‘Tour of the Falls’. See 650 million litres of water from the Zambezi River crash into the chasm below! Walk through the spectacular rain forest, where from the various vantage points along the width of the Falls, you can view the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls, the Boiling Pot, Cataract Island and Livingstone Island. (BB) Hotel: Zambezi Sun (3 nights) DAY 9: EXCURSION TO CHOBE NATIONAL PARK Experience a ‘Taste of Chobe’ on a full day excursion of Chobe National Park, renowned for having the greatest concentration of game found on the African continent. You will get the chance to enjoy game viewing from both, boats and 4x4 vehicles, allowing for the ultimate wildlife and bird watching experience. (BB L) Please Note: Remember to take your passport as we cross into Botswana! DAY 10: VICTORIA FALLS This morning is at leisure; perhaps take part in some adventure activities, or simply relax by the pool. In the afternoon enjoy a tranquil cruise along the Zambezi River. Watch hippos, crocodiles and various animals that come to the river’s edge to drink, and let nature amaze you when she turns the sky into a gorgeous burnt-orange glow. Tasty snacks and local drinks are included. (BB) DAY 11: VICTORIA FALLS – DEPART LIVINGSTONE After a leisurely breakfast, you will transfer from the Zambezi Sun Hotel to Livingstone Airport for your flight home. (BB) |
