Above the broad sweep of the River Nore
sits Kilkenny Castle, while a pretty
humpbacked stone bridge leads up into
narrow, cheerful streets, laced with
carefully maintained buildings. There’s free
time to explore the town at leisure,
perhaps visiting Kilkenny Castle (entrance
fee approx. 6 Euros) or taking a stroll
around the pretty lanes and streets.
Our optional Kilkenny sightseeing walking
tour is an enjoyable way to get to know
the medieval capital of Ireland, and spot
the best stores to explore later! |

You’ll stay for three nights at the 3-star
Riverside Park Hotel and Leisure Club
in Enniscorthy. The hotel has a lift and
the Promenade Bar overlooks the
River Slaney. There are two
restaurants – the elegant, intimate
‘Moorings’ and the lively ‘Alamo’
Tex-Mex. All bedrooms have hairdryer,
trouser press, tea/coffee-making
facilities, T.V. and telephone. Guests
also have complimentary use of the
Riverside Leisure Club, which has a
swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and
steam room. Due to demand, other
hotels of a similar standard will also be
used, such as the 3-star Treacy’s Hotel
in Enniscorthy and the 3-star Regency
Hotel in Dublin. |
