and visits
Winetasting (optional).
After a leisurely morning,
join our optional afternoon excursion to sample the local
wines in one of the local cantinas. Enjoy a glass of the local
wine together with home-made bread, mountain cheese, local
‘speck’ ham and biscuits. Also, today you can enjoy an optional
cruise on Lake Garda.
Venice (included)
A wonderful excursion to
Venice, the largest city in the Veneto area. Enjoy the famous
sights, including the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and
the Doges’ Palace. Whilst in Venice, enjoy an optional Lagoon
Cruise. For a different view over St. Mark’s Square, we sail
past the Giudecca Island and Lido seaside resort, made famous
by the International Film Festival.

We will stop at some of
the most picturesque villages on Lake Garda, including the
gem of the peninsula, Sirmione, from where we take a private
boat to Gardone, on the way passing the private island of
Garda, with its Venetian Villa.
Dolomites (optional,

A spectacular day giving
you the opportunity to see the breathtaking scenery of the
Dolomites on a wonderful scenic drive through the magnificent
mountains with their fantastic shaped pinnacles and dramatic
pillars. Don’t forget your camera to capture the unsurpassable
views and colours in this rugged limestone massif.
Verona (included)
The home of ‘Romeo and
Juliet’ and one of Italy’s most ancient cities. The many charms
of the city will be brought to life as you walk through its
streets accompanied by a local English-speaking guide on our
optional walking tour. Admire the 1st-century Arena, home
to the prestigious Verona Opera Festival, which dominates
the main square. Verona boasts an abundance of fine palaces,
churches and monuments, which adorn its alleyways and squares.
Our informative guide will reveal many of the fascinating
stories behind the history of the buildings and personalities,
allowing you to appreciate to the full the charming nature
of this fine old historic town.

down to and back from Lake Garda, with extra en route overnight

Flying

If you prefer you can choose
to travel by air.
Take a ‘flying start’ and join the tour directly on day
2, and/or choose a ‘flying return’ departing for home on
day 7. Flights are to/from Rome. Please call for full details
of flights prices/times.

Your Hotels
9 & 11-day holidays
Executive coaches will stay for six nights at the 3-star Hotel
Bristol in Riva del Garda. The hotel has a restaurant, bar,
lift and outdoor swimming pool. All bedrooms have T.V., telephone,
hairdryer and safe. On certain dates you will stay at the
Hotel Royal (please see description below) and this will be
advised at the time of booking.
Silver Service coaches on 9 & 11-day holidays will stay at
the 3-star Hotel Royal in Riva del Garda, only 250 metres
from the lake, and a 10-15 minute walk along the lakeside
from Riva. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lift, outdoor
swimming pool and sun terrace and all meals are buffet-style.
All bedrooms have T.V. and telephone.
Please note: 11-day departure on Aug 14 will stay at the Hotel
Bristol.
Due to demand, other hotels of a similar standard in resorts
such as Riva del Garda, Torbole sul Garda, Navene and Malcesine
may sometimes be used.
11-day holiday
Your extra en route overnight stays will be at the 3-star
Hotel Residenz in Pforzheim, Germany on Day 2 and at the 3-star
Hotel Postillion in Buochs or similar in Switzerland on Day
9.
15-day holiday You will stay for eleven nights at the 3 star
Hotel Adria & Resort in Toscolano Maderno on Lake Garda. The
hotel is comprised of two separate buildings, surrounded by
its own private gardens. All bedrooms have T.V. and telephone.
The hotel offers a lounge bar, restaurant, swimming pool and
terrace.
You will stay overnight en-route in a 3-star standard Tirolean-style
hotel in Austria.
On all holidays, overnight stays in Belgium and northern France
will be in city-style hotels.
