Cruise Itinerary

Wednesday: Embark in Basel
Welcome to the MPS Rotterdam. After embarking, relax on board or take a stroll about Basel.

Thursday: Basel to Breisach
You will have free time today to explore Basel, with its numerous buildings by well-known architects and various heritage sites of national significance, including the entire old town. You may decide to join the optional excursion on the Swiss Bernese Oberland to make the most of your time in magical Switzerland. We leave before dinner and make our way along the Rhine to Breisach.

Friday: Breisach
We remain in quaint Breisach today giving you more time to explore the area. You could take the optional excursion to discover the delights of the Alsace region taking in views of the rolling hills and picturesque villages.

Saturday: Breisach to Strasbourg
Today we again cross an international border to enjoy Strasbourg, the capital of the Alsace region. The town centre has been a World Heritage Site since 1988, the first time an entire city centre was given that title. Take the time to stroll along the canals enjoying the views of half-timbered houses and cobblestone lanes.

Sunday: Strasbourg to Speyer
Our port of call today is Speyer, with its lovely bijou centre. An optional excursion is offered to travel along the Rhineland wine road.

Monday: Speyer - Mainz - Boppard
This morning we cruise to Mainz, the former fort city and the capital of the state of the Rhineland. Late afternoon we continue on to Boppard the ‘Pearl of the Rhine’. A town founded by the Romans, with a pretty promenade and set at the foot of six imposing valleys.

Tuesday: Boppard – Bonn – Cologne
Relax and enjoy the scenic cruise to Bonn, home to Beethoven and the stunning palace and its gardens. Our final evening is spent in Cologne as we enjoy the Captain’s farewell dinner.

Wednesday: Disembark in Cologne
Say a fond farewell to the MPS Rotterdam.

Tuesday UK to Reims Area

Across to Calais and then to your overnight hotel.

Wednesday: Reims Area to Basel
Join the MPS Rotterdam in Cologne for your cruise.

Wednesday: Cologne to Northern France
After disembarking from the MPS Rotterdam, journey by coach to your overnight hotel.

Thursday: Northern France to UK
Calais, Dover, then home.

JOIN BY AIR

Wednesday: UK to Basel/Zurich
Fly to Basel/Zurich where you will be met by a representative and transferred to the MPS Rotterdam for your cruise.

Wednesday: Cologne/Düsseldorf to UK
From the MPS Rotterdam, transfer to the airport for the flight back to the UK.
