DAY 1: ARRIVE ROME (2)
Welcome to Rome, capital of Italy! Relax after check-in, or take a leisurely stroll through the city’s ancient streets. Meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers this evening for a Welcome Reception. Then enjoy an evening orientation drive to see St. Peter's Basilica - the perfect introduction to your holiday. DAY 2: ROME SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your expert Local Guide takes you on a guided visit to St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, home of Michelangelo’s famous Pietà. Visit the Sistine Chapel with your Local Guide and admire the magnificent painted ceiling by Michelangelo. Your sightseeing tour continues across the Tiber to ancient Rome where you view the Forum. DAY 3: ROME – VENICE
Follow the valley of the River Tiber north into Umbria and pass the impressive hilltop towns of Orte and Orvieto. DAY 4: VENICE SIGHTSEEING - LAKE GARDA

DAY 5: LAKE GARDA - FLORENCE

DAY 6: FLORENCE - ROME
In Florence, the city’s rich medieval and Renaissance history is brought to life by your expert Local Guide. See Piazza Signoria, with its impressive sculptures and imposing palazzi. View the multi-coloured marble Duomo and the famous Baptistery with bronze doors. View the Ponte Vecchio, a spectacular feat of engineering dating from the Middle Ages. Travelling south, the Tuscan landscape − characterised by rolling hills and picturesque olive groves − is breathtaking. Through Umbria’s shady valleys with olive and cypress trees you reach the valley of the Tiber River, which leads you back to Rome. Spend leisure time relaxing or exploring.
