Day 1:
UK to Copenhagen Fly
from the UK to Copenhagen where you will be met at the airport
and transferred to the Scandic Sydhavnen (4*), your hotel
for the next two nights. Meet your fellow travellers and Tour
Manager over dinner this evening. (D)
Day 5: Stockholm to Oslo Westwards through some picturesque
landscapes, crossing the border into Norway to
reach Oslo, where the Scandic Edderkoppen (4*)
is our base for the next two nights. (B,D)
Day 2: Copenhagen Our guided city tour of
Copenhagen this morning will aquaint you with the highlights
of this lively capital city whose rich heritage as the Baltic’s
principal harbour is commemorated in its name ‘København’
(Merchant’s Port) and represented by its fine buildings and
monuments. It’s a delightful city to explore, welcoming and
compact, it offers a multitude of bars, restaurants and shops.
Highlights of our tour include the bronze Little Mermaid statue,
the Renaissance Rosenborg Castle, palace of Christian IV,
and the fabulous Tivoli Gardens, a ‘kingdom’ so magical that
it inspired Hans Christian Andersen to write a number of his
fantastic fairy-tales. In the afternoon you are free to explore
at leisure, and we highly recommend a canal cruise to see
some of the sights from the water, or maybe a guided tour
of the Carlsberg Brewery and a chance to taste the world famous
beer. (B,D)
Day 6: Oslo There is an included guided city tour this
morning which gives you the opportunity to
admire the parks and gardens of the oldest of
the Scandinavian capitals, with its compact city
centre, housing the Cathedral, the Parliament,
the Town Hall and the Royal Castle. We have
also included a visit to the world famous Viking
Museum where you can enjoy some incredibly
well preserved 9th century ships and learn about
the trials and tribulations of the mythical Vikings.

Day 3: Copenhagen to Stockholm We journey north to Helsingør
for the short ferry crossing to Helsingborg, and head north
to Sweden’s capital Stockholm, where we spend the next two
nights at the Rica Stockholm (4*). (B,D)
Day 7: Oslo to Copenhagen Southwards along the coast, into Sweden and
on to Helsingborg for the short ferry crossing to
Helsingør. We continue along the Danish east
coast to reach Copenhagen and our hotel,
Scandic Sydhavnen (4*). (B,D)
Day 4: Stockholm Spend a
day at leisure in Stockholm, delightfully constructed on a
maze of islands and consequently dubbed the ‘Venice of The
North’. The city offers a number of fascinating sights from
the narrow streets and pretty courtyards of the ‘Gamla Stan’
(Old Town) to the grand buildings of the Renaissance Royal
Palace. Highlights of the city will be covered on our included
guided tour. Afternoon at leisure to seek out your favourite
sights, or maybe just relax in one of the city’s many green
areas. (B,D)
Day 8: Copenhagen to UK Transfer to the airport
for your return flight to Holiday. (B)
