DAY 1:
UK to Reims Across
to Calais and on to our three star standard hotel for an overnight
stay. |
DAY 7
to 9: At leisure in Corciano Join
us on our included excursion to Perugia, capital of Umbria,
and Assisi, home of St Francis. There will also be a range
of optional excursions for your added enjoyment. (B,D) |
DAY 2: Reims to Weggis
Southwards
through France and into Switzerland, to Weggis and the hotel
Hertenstein (3*) for dinner and overnight. (B,D) |
DAY 10: Corciano to Lugano
Into Switzerland and to
Lugano for dinner and overnight at the Meister (3*) or similar
(B,D) |
DAYS 3: Weggis to San Marino
Into Italy this morning,
heading southeast towards the tiny principality of San Marino.
We arrive at the hotel Grand San Marino (4*), our base for
the next three nights. (B,D) |
DAY 11: Lugano to N. France
Into France and northwards
for dinner and overnight at our three star standard hotel.

DAYS 4 to 5: San Marino
At leisure in San Marino,
one of the smallest and most ancient republics in the world,
but also one of the most visited. Explore the narrow winding
streets and admire the views of the surrounding scenery. We
also visit nearby Rimini. (B,D) |
DAY 12: N. France to UK
Across to Dover an then
home. (B) |
DAY 6: San Marino to Corciano
We leave
San Marino this morning and head for Umbria. En route we stop
in Gubbio, a picture book medieval town with houses of rosy-pink
stone and orange tiled roofs. We arrive in Corciano at the
hotel El Patio (3*) where we stay for four nights. (B,D) |

Full Day: San Marino & Rimini
Enjoy the
sights in the tiny republic of San Marino, with its ramparts
and medieval style buildings of the citadel. Said to have
been founded by a monk in 300 AD, it has it own mint, postage
stamps and an army of around a thousand men. We also visit
the traditional seaside resort of Rimini, to which Italians
return year after year to spend their summer holiday. |
Full Day: Perugia & Assisi
Perugia,
the provincial capital, is well worth a visit. Admire the
medieval town centre, the many lively Piazzas, the impressive
Duomo and the Palazzo dei Priori, one of the greatest public
palaces in Italy. |
