Located at the 'Crossroads of Europe', Valkenburg is perfectly situated for excursions into Germany, Belgium and Holland. On day two, you have an included visit to the historic city of Aachen, home to an impressive cathedral and market square.

On New Year's Day, you will have time at leisure in charming Valkenburg, a town that boasts a unique underground cave system and castle, followed by a scenic drive into the beautiful Eifel Hills and a visit to Monschau – a historic fortified town nestled in this stunning National Park.
Finally, during the return journey you will visit Bruges, known affectionately as the 'Venice of the North' thanks to a network of canals and medieval architecture.

DAY 1: Valkenburg
Journey to Valkenburg. Dinner is included at your hotel.

DAY 2: Aachen/Valkenburg (New Year's Eve)
Included half day excursion to Aachen before returning to your hotel in time to freshen up for your special New Year's Eve celebration night at the hotel. We include dinner, live music with dancing, midnight snacks and fireworks to see in 2012.

DAY 3: Valkenburg/Monschau (New Year's Day)

After an included leisurely brunch and a free morning in Valkenburg, we include a scenic drive into the Eifel Hills National Park and visit to the pretty town of Monschau. Dinner and entertainment is included at your hotel.

DAY 4: Bruges
Depart from the hotel after breakfast with a short lunchtime visit to Bruges on the way home.

You will be three nights at a comfortable hotel, such as the family run Hotel Op de Boud, located in the pretty Dutch town of Valkenburg. This hotel has well-furnished en-suite bedrooms as well as a bar and a restaurant where breakfast and dinner will be served. The Hotel Op de Boud has been a favourite with Gold Crest clients for years and offers entertainment, including skittles and karaoke.
