Night at the Opera
Our 2008 Opera holidays
include a ticket for the performance of ‘Carmen’. In addition,
you can take in a second Opera, ‘Nabucco’ (Aug 2 dep) or ‘Rigoletto’
(Aug 23 dep), at a cost of £39 (including Gradinata ticket
and transfers from Lake Garda). This must be reserved at the
time of booking. Your night at the Opera will begin with lunch
in your resort before you head to Verona, where you’ll have
free time to enjoy the city.
Opera tickets and seats Tickets in the Gradinata section are
included. Upgrades available.

Gradinata – Unnumbered seats on the upper steps of the arena
(included in the price).
Gradinata Numerata – Numbered seating, directly facing the
stage (supplement £65).

See some of the picturesque
villages around the lake and also take a cruise from Sirmione
to Gardone passing the private island of Garda, with its Venetian
Villa inhabited by the Countess Borghese and her sons.
Venice (included).
A wonderful excursion to
Venice, the largest city in the Veneto area. Enjoy the famous
sights such as the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and
the Doges’ Palace. A great way to take in the splendour of
this city is on an optional lagoon cruise. Relax as you cruise
past the Giudecca Island and Lido seaside resort, made famous
by the International Film Festival.

Visit the home of Romeo
and Juliet and one of Italy’s most ancient cities, ahead of
tonight’s included Opera performance.
Dolomites (optional).
A spectacular day giving
you the opportunity to see the breathtaking scenery of the
Dolomites. A wonderful scenic drive through the magnificent
mountains with their fantastic shaped pinnacles and dramatic
pillars. Don’t forget your camera to capture the unsurpassable
views.

Flights to Brescia or Milan-Bergamo
are included. All prices are subject to availability. Flight

Your Hotels
You will stay for six nights
at the 3-star Hotel Royal in Riva del Garda, which is situated
only 250 metres from the lake, and a 10-15 minute walk along
the lakeside from Riva. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lift
and outdoor swimming pool. All meals are buffet style. All
bedrooms have T.V. and telephone. Overnight stays in Belgium
(coach holiday only) will be in city-style hotels.
