Full Day: Exploring the delights of Dartmoor, a landscape of granite Tors, wide open heather clad moorland, ancient oak woodland, unspoilt villages, thatched cottages and home to the Dartmoor pony. We reach Princetown, the highest town on the moor, to enjoy a delicious cream tea. Full Day: Scenic drive through the Teign Valley to reach Exeter, the county town of Devon, where there is much to explore, from the Norman Cathedral and surrounding Cathedral Close to the interesting Quay. Explore beneath the city's streets at the medieval Underground Passages – the only attraction of their kind open to the public in Britain! We then continue to Exmouth for a leisurely cruise along the River Exe. Half Day: Today we enjoy a coastal drive around beautiful Torbay, the heart of the English Riviera, where each resort has its own unique charm and character. Along the way we travel through Babbacombe, renowned for its sea front location with magnificent sea views and a working funicular railway; and Paignton, set at the very heart of Torbay with long sandy beaches and a colourful atmosphere. |
