Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1:
Home to Dublin Make your
own way to your chosen airport for the flight to
Dublin. We then make our way to our overnight
hotel, the Lynch Green Isle Hotel.
DAY 5:
Full Day Connemara National Park Taking the road south we join Killary cruises for a
luxury cruise experience on Ireland’s only fjord,
Killary Harbour, boasting spectacular scenery
from every angle. We continue on through
Connemara National Park, an area of nearly
5,000 acres of scenic countryside.
DAY 2: Dublin to Galway to Westport We leave Dublin and head westwards to Galway
City and Bay. After free time to explore at leisure,
we head through County Galway and Mayo to
reach the heritage town of Westport by late
afternoon. Our hotel, the Westport Woods
Hotel, where we spend the next four nights,
is set in seven acres of mature woodlands
overlooking Westport House Lake.
DAY 6: Westport to Tulsk to Dublin Leaving Westport this morning we travel via Tulsk
for an included tour of the Cruachan Ai Visitor
Centre, where we learn about the fascinating
ancient history of Ireland. Later we continue on
to Dublin where we stay overnight at the Clarion
Hotel Liffey Valley.
DAY 3: Full Day Turlough, Ballina and
Hennigans Heritage
Centre We travel to Turlough, where we enjoy a visit to
the Museum of Country Life. From here we travel
around Lough Conn before arriving at Ballina,
Mayo’s largest town. After free time to explore at
leisure, we continue on to Hennigans Heritage
Centre, a fascinating attraction where Tom
Hennigan will take you around his family’s
traditional cottage and tell you the story of his
upbringing and rural life in County Mayo. With
music and dancing and included tea and scones,
it really is a visit not to be missed!
DAY 7: Dublin to Home We enjoy a full Irish breakfast
before heading for the return the flight home.
DAY 4: A free day in Westport Sample the relaxed atmosphere of Westport,
or join us on an optional excursion to see the
delights of Achill Island (extra charge; driver will
provide details).
