Fairy-tale Castles of Bavaria - Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: UK to Liege
We travel to Calais, then on across Belgium to Liege and our overnight stay.
Day 8: Lechaschau to Leige
Bidding farewell to Lechaschau, we depart for Belgium and our overnight hotel in the Liege area. (B,D)
Day 2: Leige to Lechaschau
We continue south through Germany and into Austria, arriving in Lechaschau for a welcome drink and dinner. (B,D)
Day 9: Leige to UK
After breakfast we make our way to Calais for the sailing to Dover and home. (B)
Days 3 to 7: Lechaschau
At leisure in Lechaschau, perfectly situated for visiting the fairy-tale castles of King Ludwig, Bavaria's famous son. (B,D)

Full Day Neuschwanstein Castle & Füssen
Neuschwanstein is the ultimate fairy-tale castle and Germany's most famous attraction, built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. We also visit the lovely town of Füssen, at the southern end of the Romantic Road.

Full Day Oberammergau
A traditional Bavarian town, famous for its woodcarving artisans, painted houses and the Passion Play.

Half Day Linderhof Castle
Known among locals as the `Wedding Cake', the palace of Linderhof is a replica of Louis the XIV's Versailles. Linderhof was built as the King's private retreat and is the only one of Ludwig's castles that was actually completed.
